An overview of the AVR architecture and the challenges/opportunities for building an emulator from the ground up, while giving insights into AVRS, an emulator created with reverse engineering in mind.

This talk will give an overview of AVR, an architecture powering microcontrollers, and the things to keep in mind when emulating it, leading to the presentation of AVRS, an emulator created with the purpose of reverse engineering in mind. AVRS is the result of my bachelor thesis, with its original inception during the RHme3 embedded CTF.
