While Android is a mostly free operating system, many devices contain non-free drivers as well as apps and/or spyware from the device manufacturer that normaly cannot be removed. This workshop will go through the process of unlocking and installing a free or at least more freedom respecting ROM on your device.

The factory default installtion of most modern mobile deivces, be it mobile phones or tablets, contain lot's of features and/or software peole might not like. Depending on the exact device, the process can be from simple through a little scary to (nearly) impossible.
The workshop will go through the process of re-flashing your device with the participiants on the devices they bring.
